About Me

I am a Brooklyn singer songwriter
piano guitar djembe player
performance artist educator
harmony maker
aspiring soul waker

A graduate from Emerson College with a BA in Theatre Education, I am a performing artist and educator involved in songwriting, music performance, arts education for social change, and experimental theatre. After teaching drama and music as a 4th grade assistant teacher in San Francisco, I embarked on a journey around the world, where I explored culture, street performance, and busking, taught drama at a rural school in India, and created a site-specific performance with my original music at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland.

I currently sing with my original folk band MELA (demos above) and 3rd Rail, a rock cover band. Other music projects include Mugby Junction, a casual musical duo with Becca Schall, and Sea Teeth, a Philadelphia based blues band. I also teach musical theatre and music with Kids Orbit, private voice lessons, and am the Educational Director of the Green Theatre Collective in New York City.


Voice Lessons: I provide private voice instruction. We work together to do what you like to do, focus on musical styles that you are interested in, learn about performing and most importantly, to have fun!

The Other Side New York

The Other Side is a project I worked on last year where I created site specific performances based on culture, human connection, differences, and how to bridge the gap that "otherness" can create. After performances in San Francisco and New York, I journeyed around the world for 9 months experiencing world culture firsthand. I taught drama in rural India at the Pardada Pardadi Educational Society for one month, and finished off the whole project with a performance of Hang Up The Moon at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, UK in 2010.
